Walking Tour – getting up close, the old Joe Slovo, Langa

Should your tour be after school hours (afternoon tour), you will meet the kids from Happy Feet Youth Project. This is a charity initiative started by Siviwe and his colleagues in 2007 and supported by Vamos. His aim is to provide townships kids with positive role models and a sense of “belonging”, in an environment where crime is often a strong attraction.

For an authentic township cultural experience you need to walk, to hear, smell, touch and taste. Your morning tour with Vamos includes a braai (barbecue) at the famous Mzoli’s, Guguletu (weekdays), or a home-hosted lunch (weekends and public holidays).
